Nigeria Watch Database
The Nigeria Watch Database monitors lethal violence, conflicts and human security in Nigeria since 1st July 2006. It compiles and monitors homicides and violent deaths (including accidents) in order to provide statistics, analyse trends and draw maps. The data relies on a thorough reading of the Nigeria press and reports from human rights organisations. It is hosted by IFRA-Nigeria and currently supported by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), the British Council and IRD (French Institute of Research for Development).
At the Resource Centre, you can access the database through on a computer and get complete information about every incident including the date, the location (State, LGA, town and village), the protagonists and stakeholders and the original source used for the entry.
